You have come to the right place to find a church that will care about you, welcome you warmly with open arms, and join with you in the worship and service for our Lord. We are a church that welcomes everyone…for all are children of God.
The story is told of a family looking for the perfect church. In one, they did not like the song selection so they did not return. In the next, the sermon was thought to be too long. The people were not friendly enough in the third. Settling into the pew of the fourth church, they noticed a little card in the pew rack titled, “Looking for the Perfect Church?” They grabbed it and eagerly they read on . . . “If you are looking for the perfect church, we are sorry for you will not find it here.”
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a perfect church because the church is made up of imperfect people. We hope you will decide to visit us for a few Sundays. We believe you will find wonderful (imperfect) people seeking to please God and live lives that have meaning and purpose. We encourage you to peruse the rest of this website to learn more about us. We are a small church, full of love for you and all of God’s people. At Faith, you will grow spiritually. And you will be blessed by God.
We worship each Sunday at 10 a.m. Our worship life is a joyful expression of love for the Lord. We are a Lutheran congregation with a diverse membership. Some who join us each week have roots as former Roman Catholics and others have belonged to various Protestant denominations. And some have had little to no previous church involvement. We are one in our desire to grow closer to the Lord. Whatever your church background, you will be at home among us.
As you come north on Jackson Avenue in Syosset, you will find ample parking on the south side of our church. We are less than a mile north of Jericho Turnpike. Our address is 231 Jackson Avenue, Syosset, NY 11791. You can call us at 516-921-3330.
We are looking forward to greeting you. By the way, we will not make you feel uncomfortable in any way like asking you to stand and introduce yourself. If you wish, join us also for a cup of coffee and some cake after the service concludes.
Our Ministry and Vision:
As a congregation, we are looking outward to our community inviting our neighbors to grow spiritually with us. We have been given a special opportunity with the growing number of Asian neighbors buying homes in Syosset and surrounding communities. God is calling us to love and serve all of God’s people. So part of Faith’s vision for the future is to become an increasingly diverse community of God’s family. So once again, we happily proclaim that everyone is welcome at Faith.
